Our Classes
Gentle
Gentle Yoga is a great place to start when learning the basics of yoga practice. This class will introduce pranayama (breathing) technique and connect it to the movement of your body. This is usually a standard sequence and will include the use of props and modifications.
Align
Align classes will have you tuning into your body and developing awareness as you cultivate core stability, endurance and mental clarity. Detailed clear instructions will guide you into the yoga asanas safely and correctly.

Open to all levels of yoga experience.
Slow Flow
This vinyasa is more meditative. The slower pace allows you to connect on a deeper level with your breathing and focus more on centering and finding mental clarity. Slowing down is not always necessarily easier.

This class is open to all levels.
Smooth Flow
Our smooth flow classes will have you engaged with breath and movement. Combining a rhythmic sequence that always makes sense, it is practised at an easy and graceful pace.

Our smooth flow classes showcase mindfulness, steadiness and strength. This class encourages you to practice at your own level while giving the choice to move a little deeper and maybe even push past boundaries in a safe and supportive environment.
Liquid flow
Liquid flow builds from gentle, align, slow flow and smooth flow classes. You will be guided into intelligently structured sequences with options of inversions and arm balances. You will be shown how to move towards peak poses with complete safety and care.

Ideally this class has many alternative options and can be slow and deep or faster and a little dynamic just enough to break a little sweat and get your heart pumping. Either way its a good idea to have at least a basic understanding of a yoga flow or at least have tried one of the other classes first . However modifications are offered for those who wish to keep their practice moderate.
Meditation
Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique such as mindfulness or focuses the mind on a particular object, thought or activity so as to achieve a mentally clear, emotionally calm and stable state.
Meditation is a standard part of Yoga . You will learn to breathe as you move through your practice. We finish all our classes with 5-10min meditation/ relaxation /savasana.
Yin
Yin Yoga works more internally into your body using slower, passive and longer held poses. It targets the deepest tissues of the body namely your ligaments, joints, bones and fascia.
Yin yoga improves the energy stream through the body enhancing the flow of chi into the organs. To be truly healthy we require well functioning organs as well as muscles. Yin Yoga also offers emotional and mental benefits.
TANTRIC YIN
As above yet tantric yin is not only static holds but included spinal and body pulsations to lead you into a deeper releases for deeper rest. Tantric Yin can be either solar or lunar. (heated or cooling).
Open to all levels mostly who need to slow down
Pilates
Pilates main focus is on core however, you can expect to see strength gains in your arms and legs. Positions and movements used to activate core rely on extremities to control &/or apply loads to the core and likewise will benefit from pilates. We are blending our own unique style of pilates and yoga into your session at Yoga Groove.
Open to all levels of fitness
Restore
Restore is the ultimate grounding experience. This class consists of slower movements that are guided through longer holds and correct breathing technique. There is more focus on letting go of deep held tension that has built up in the body and mind. This style is both peaceful and meditative.
LUNAR / RESTORE Restorative / LUNAR/SOLAR energy yoga combined is a restful practice that uses props and bolsters . Solar energy is warm, active and outwardly orientated . Lunar energy is cool, receptive and inwardly focused. It is a practice of deep relaxation to emphasise the meditative aspect of yoga.There may be a slow meditative gentle standing sequence added to these classes at times but this will still hold you in a grounding , clarifying space within. Its restore with a twist.
Restore classes are open to all levels of yoga practice.
